High surf advisory remains for south-facing shores

A high surf advisory remains in effect for south-facing shores on O'ahu, which should see surf of 6 to 9 feet today,

Elsewhere, the surf is expected to reach 3 to 5 feet along east-facing shores, 4 to 6 feet along west-facing shores and 2 feet or less along north-facing shores.

Incoming swells are expected to affect south-facing shores well into the new week, according to the National Weather Service.

Surf is expect to remain near or above the high surf advisory level through Friday.

The swell will continue to roll in from the south-southwest during the first part of the week and turn due south by mid week, forecasters said.
