Trade winds, isolated showers in forecast for week

Trade winds will continue blowing this week, strengthening Thursday and Friday, according to the National Weather Service. Expect windward and mauka showers during the night and early morning.

Here's what to look for in weather this week:

  • Today — Isolated showers. Partly cloudy, with a high near 81 degrees. East winds between 11 mph and 16 mph, with gusts up to 21 mph. Chance of rain: 20 percent.

  • Tonight — Scattered showers, mainly before midnight. Partly cloudy, with a low near 72 degrees. East winds at about 13 mph. Chance of rain: 30 percent.

  • Tuesday — Isolated showers. Partly cloudy, with a high near 81 degrees. East winds between 13 mph and 18 mph, with gusts up to 23 mph. Chance of rain: 20 percent.

  • Tuesday night — Scattered showers, mainly before midnight. Partly cloudy, with a low near 72 degrees. East winds near 14 mph. Chance of rain: 20 percent.

  • Independence Day — Isolated showers. Partly cloudy, with a high near 85 degrees. East winds between 14 mph and 18 mph, with gusts as high as 23 mph. Chance of rain: 20 percent.

  • Wednesday night — Scattered showers, mainly before midnight. Partly cloudy, with a low around 72 degrees. East winds near 14 mph. Chance of rain: 20 percent.
