LIHU'E
July 4 fireworks permits on sale

Advertiser Staff

Kaua'i residents seeking to use fireworks during Wed-nesday's Fourth of July celebrations may pick up permits — at $25 apiece—from the fire department.

Fireworks may be used from 1 to 9 p.m. July 4.

A permit is required to purchase firecrackers, but not for snakes, sparklers, fountains, cylindrical or cone fountains, whistles, toy smoke devices, wheels and ground spinners.

Permits are available from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the fire department office in the Mo'ikeha Building in the Lihu'e Civic Center.

For more information, contact the Fire Prevention Bureau at 241-6511.
