A 21-year-old man was charged today as the second suspect in a June 16 robbery-kidnapping case that also involved a stolen car.

Isaiah Labatte is being held in lieu of $20,000 bail for first-degree robbery, kidnapping and auto theft.

Police said Labatte allegedly invited a man, 39, to his apartment on June 16 and when the victim showed up, another man beat him, threatened him with a weapon and robbed him of undisclosed property.

The two suspects allegedly drove the man around in his car and then left him at a park.

The other suspect, 37, was charged Sunday for robbery, kidnapping and auto theft. His bail is $75,000.

Labatte was arrested yesterday by the Windward O'ahu Crime Reduction Unit.
