Explosive device removed from Windward home

Advertiser Staff Writer

Police Specialized Services Division bomb technicians last night removed an explosive device from a Windward O'ahu residence.

The device was removed at 5:35 p.m. HPD spokeswoman Michelle Yu said it is unknown if the device was an explosive or a hoax.

A man, 37, and woman, 41, who were at the home were not injured. It is unknown who set up the device.
