High surf advisory remains in effect for south shores
Advertiser Staff
A persistent south swell generated by a storm east of New Zealand last week continues to generate high surf, according to the National Weather Service in Honolulu.
The swell is still expected to taper off on Thursday.
Waves will be higher than usual, the weather service said. Stay out of the water and well away from the shore break to avoid high waves and strong rip current.
The high surf advisory remains in effect until 6 p.m., Thursday.
