The Kaimuki Public Library will host a "Harry Potter" event next Thursday in celebration of the movie premiere of "Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix."

This event, set from 3 to 5 p.m. July 12, will serve as the finale to the 2007 Children's Summer Reading Program.

Participants are encouraged to wear costumes. Admission is free.

Giant chess pieces will be available to those interested in playing the Wizard's Chess Game. Also, children ages 3 and older may participate in Harry Potter-themed activities in "Diagon Alley," the children's section of the library.

Call the library if a sign language interpreter or other special accommodation is needed.

Kaimuki library is at 1041 Koko Head Ave. For more information, call the library at 733–8422.
