Chan Kim tied for third in Michigan junior golf tourney

Former Kaimuki High School student Chan Kim shot a 1-under 71 and is tied for third after today's second round of the Coca-Cola Junior Championship at Boyne Highlands in Harbor Springs, Mich.

Kim, who lives in Arizona, is at 4-under 140, two shots behind leader Jae Han Chun of Lisle, Ill., who shot a 69 today. Adam Sumrall of South Bend, Ind., is second after a 66—139. Chan is tied with Aaron Fitzpatrick (72) of Orlando, Fla.

Kamehameha-Maui student Keli'i Dias shot an 93 and is tied for 98th at 173.

In the girls division, Maui High senior Kelcie Kawano shot a 11-over 83 to tie for 30th at 164. Kawano was the runner-up at this year's state tournament.
