Hawaiian civic club to hold fundraising garage sale

Advertiser Staff

The Ko'olaupoko Hawaiian Civic Club will host its annual garage sale Saturday in support of the club's service projects and programs in the Kane'ohe area.

The sale at He'eia Elementary School, set for 8 a.m. to 2 p.m., will include household electronics, clothing, toys, books, plants and baked goods.

Club members care for the Kawa'ewa'e Heiau in Kane'ohe and Kukui'ani'ani Heiau in Waikane. Programs include tours of historical sites, such as Na Wahi Pana o Kane'ohe and Likeke Trail. The club also provides scholarships and grants for students.

As a nonprofit civic and community organization, the club is dedicated to the perpetuation and preservation of Native Hawaiian history, culture and heritage.

For more information or to donate items to the sale, contact Events Coordinator Lisa Phee at 247-2968.
