Fireworks play suspected of starting Lahaina brushfire

The fire, which scorched 180 acres, was reported to be 90 percent contained as of yesterday, according to Maui County spokeswoman Mahina Martin.
Police and fire investigators said four pre-teen youths were present in the area where the fire began. The youths may have been playing with fireworks.
Investigators have not determined if the fire was started accidentally or intentionally, Martin said.
