Condition of injured pedestrian upgraded to serious

A 12-year-old boy struck by a vehicle today in Kailua has been upgraded from critical to serious condition, according to police.

The boy was injured at Hamakua Drive and Hekili Street at 3:51 p.m. and was taken to The Queen's Medical Center, police said.
