PUHI
Schuler gives to Island School

Advertiser Staff

The Schuler Family Foundation has donated $40,000 to Island School, a private elementary and secondary school in Puhi.

The money is designated for the school's $4.6 million Campus Expansion Capital Campaign.

The campaign has already built the school a new gymnasium. Bids are being reviewed for a new Center for Hawaiian Culture and the Arts.

The school campus is adjacent to the Kaua'i Community College campus.

"We believe in making a positive impact within our communities," said Jim Schuler, founder of the foundation and west region president for D.R. Horton-Schuler Division.
