LANA'I CITY
OHA opens office on Lana'i

Advertiser Staff

The Office of Hawaiian Affairs has opened a new office on Lana'i, which is home to approximately 200 Native Hawaiian beneficiaries.

OHA officials said they had long wanted to open an office on the island, but rental space was limited. The agency finally was able to secure the former Oshiro's Service Station at the corner of Frasier Avenue and Ninth Street from Castle & Cooke Resorts LLC, which owns 98 percent of Lana'i.

The building was renovated into a 432-square-foot office that is headed by longtime Lana'i resident Pearl Ah Ho. She can be contacted at P.O. Box 631413, Lana'i City, HI 96763, or (808) 563-0101.
