NBA: Warriors sign rookie first-round pick Wright

OAKLAND, Calif. — The Golden State Warriors signed rookie forward Brandan Wright to a two-year contract with team options for two more years today.Wright, the eighth pick in last month's draft, was acquired in a trade with Charlotte for Jason Richardson and second-round pick Jermareo Davidson. Wright will be guaranteed about $4 million for the two seasons under terms of the NCA collective bargaining agreement.
Wright, the Atlantic Coast Conference's rookie of the year and tournament MVP as a freshman at North Carolina, averaged 14.7 points and 6.2 rebound per game, while making nearly 65 percent of his shots.
