Chan Kim finishes fifth at Michigan junior golf tourney

Former Kaimuki High student Chan Kim shot a 1-over-par 73 today to finish fifth at the Coca-Cola Junior Championship at Boyne Highlands Resort in Harbor Springs, Mich.Kim, who lives in Arizona, finished with a three-round 3-under 213. Jae Han Chun defeated Aaron Fitzpatrick in a playoff for the victory in the American Junior Golfers Association tournament. Both finished at 206.
Keli'i Dias, of Wailuku, Maui, shot 78 today and finished 96th at 251.
In the girls' division, Kelcie Kawano, of Kahului, Maui, shot a 78 today and finished tied for 28th at 242. Seo Hee Moon (74), of Mukilteo, Wash., was the medalist with a 221.
