Kimberly Kim finishes 7th at Rolex junior golf event

Kimberly Kim shot a 1-under-par 70, the low round of the day, to finish seventh today at the Rolex Tournament of Champions conducted by the American Junior Golf Association at The Ohio State University Golf Club in Columbus.

Kim, a former Big Island resident who lives in Arizona, finished at 295, 11 strokes behind medalist Courtney Ellenbogen of Blacksburg, Va., who shot a 72 today. Kim started the day tied for 14th.

Ayaka Kaneko, a Sacred Hearts senior, shot a 75 and tied for 17th at 302.

Sihwan Kim of Buena Park, Calif., was the boys' medalist, shooting a 67 for a 283 and three-stroke victory.
