"You Somebody," the comic story of Pua "Ma" Lusa, who is determined to get her not-so-talented family mentioned in Wayne Harada's Show Biz column, returns to the Diamond Head Theatre stage where it was launched five years ago. It's written by Lee Cataluna, who also is an Advertiser columnist, with music and lyrics by Keola Beamer; cast members include Loretta Ables Sayre as "Ma," Wil Kahele as Daddy Lusa, Pomai Lopez as Lisa Lusa and Angela Morales as Eloise Baga. The Honolulu Advertiser is a sponsor.

QuikSilverEdition Hawaiian Islands Vintage Surf Auction features vintage surfboards, left, art, Hawaiiana and surf memorabilia from the turn of the (last) century to the early '80s. Surf fans, history buffs: You might not want to miss this exhibit/auction because it's held only every other year. Proceeds benefit the Outrigger Duke Kahanamoku Foundation Scholarship Fund.

The auction/exhibit is held in conjunction with the Hawaii All-Collectors Show, which this year showcases Linda Lee's display of vintage Ming's jewelry, Hawai'i wrestling photos, early Hawaiian milk bottles, an exhibit of fluorescent minerals by The Rock & Mineral Society of Hawaii, and more. For those who just can't wait, early entry is at 2 p.m. July 20.

Led Zeppelin tribute band Led Zepplica, above, returns to the Islands for the third time in three years. Need we say more? No, but we will anyway: Led Zeppelin fans, unite! Led Zepplica has been performing as an entity since 1989 locally and nationally. Rocksters Buddhist Priest will be the opening act.

FESTIVAL: JULY 21-22

It's all about the arts at the Hale'iwa Arts Festival's 10th annual Summer ArtFest, featuring juried visual artists, musicians, singers, dancers, cultural trolley tours, storytellers, student art, demonstrations, children's art activities and more. Several North Shore businesses and galleries will be offering special events and promotions, too.

Get your soul and groove back at the 2007 Soul Jam, which features Jimmy Walker hosting hit-makers The Chi Lites, Main Ingredient featuring Cuba Gooding Sr., Three Degrees, Harold Melvin's Bluenotes, the Delphonics and Stylistics. Among the tunes folks will recognize are "Oh Girl," "Have You Seen Her," "Everybody Plays the Fool," "When Will I See You Again," "If You Don't Know Me By Now," "Ready Or Not Here I Come," and "You Make Me Feel Brand New."

CONCERT: JULY 23

Albuquerque-born, Portland, Ore.-based indie rock group The Shins, below, makes its Hawai'i debut at Pipeline Cafe. The band's most recent album, "Wincing the Night Away," reached No. 2 on the Billboard charts in January. The Shins also made a splash in the acclaimed soundtrack to the 2004 film "Garden State" with the tunes "Caring is Creepy" and New Slang."

Happy Birthday, KCCN! Hot acts in local music, Battle to the Bash competition winners, surprise guests and much getting-up-and-dancing will be part of KCCN FM100 Birthday Bash 17. New Zealand's Katchafire will play both nights of the party. The Hawaii Harmonica Society's 10th Annual Harmonica Recital showcases songs from the 1950s-'60s, waltzes, Japanese melodies and Hawaiian pieces. The recital features group performances by the Small World Harmonica Band, the Reed 21 Hawaii Harmonica Band and the Shinjuku Harmonica Band from Tokyo. Solo performances are by Robert Omura, the Rev. Mamoru Yamasaki and Homare Hoshi.

Hawai'i's musical past is present at The Hawaiian Music Hall of Fame's Ka Himeni Ana 2007, the 23rd annual contest that encourages Hawaiian music in the old-fashioned style, without the use of microphones, and to discover hidden talent.
