NBA: Suns sign first-round draft pick Tucker

PHOENIX The Phoenix Suns signed first-round draft pick Alando Tucker to a two-year contract today.Terms were not disclosed by the team, but the NBA rookie scale guarantees Tucker will make $776,000 in his rookie season and $834,900 in his second year. The contract also has a team option for two additional years.
Tucker, a 6-foot-6 forward, who was the Big Ten Player of the Year last season for Wisconsin, was the 29th overall pick of the June 28 draft. He is on Phoenix's summer league team that will play five games in Las Vegas starting Monday night against Cleveland.
Also on the Suns' summer roster is second-round draft pick D.J Strawberry _ a guard out of Maryland _ but he has not signed a contract yet.
