Honolulu police charged Tyler Aaron Condon today with second-degree murder in connection with the fatal stabbing of his cousin on Wednesday.

Condon, 22, was being held in lieu of $500,000 bail.

Early Wednesday, neighbors found Jake Ira Hale, 28, bleeding and calling for help outside an 'Ewa Beach townhouse. Hale was stabbed in his torso, officials said. He died from loss of blood.

Witnesses said they saw Condon fleeing the scene in a four-door white Buick, registered to an Army soldier, police said.

As he sped away, Condon hit another car in the Palm Villas II parking structure, police said.

Wahiawa Crime Reduction officers arrested Condon about 6:40 p.m. Thursday at a 7-Eleven store on Kamehameha Highway near Kilani Avenue.
