Firefighters at Olowalu brushfire flareup

Maui firefighters tonight have been sent to a small flareup in the area of the Olowalu brushfire that burned 2,600 acres recently.The fire, reported at 9:43 p.m., is in a half-acre area in a gulch near the Olowalu refuse site.
Residents living near an area known as petroglyph road have voluntarily evacuated as a precautionary measure. Fire officials describe the fire as slow-moving, with no homes in immediate danger.
