  • A class entitled "Tips and Tricks for Searching on the Web" will be 5-7:30 p.m. July 17 and 24 at Windward Community College, Hale Kuhina 114. Teacher Brian Richardson will introduce users to a wide array of search strategies and tools beyond the basics. Cost is $45.

    Another class entitled "Podcasting — the Legal Issues," will be 9-11 a.m. July 21 at Windward Community College, Hale Kuhina 106. William Myers will explain the legal issues and potential liability involved. Cost is $40.

  • The Hawai'i Women's Business Center will hold a workshop titled "Get Your Business e-Organized" from 6-9 p.m. July 18 at the center, 1041 Nu'uanu Ave. The seminar will help participants learn to organize a filing system for electronic documents and data, save documents for fast retrieval, create ways to move multiple files quickly and easily, back up computer data, and set up a backup system that fits your business.

    The seminar will be led by Karen Simon, founder of PC Tech Associates. The fee is $58.50 for HWBC members and $65 for nonmembers. For information, call 526-1001, or register online at www.hwbc.org.
