More than 1,000 athletes will descend on Waikiki on July 29 for the 27th annual Tinman Triathlon.

The 800-meter swim portion will start at 6 a.m. at Queen's Beach.

The swim will be followed by a 40-kilometer bike ride from Waikiki to Hawai'i Kai and back and a 10-kilometer run through Kahala and Kaimuki.

The awards ceremony will start at around 11 a.m. at Kapi'olani Park.

Motorists should be cautious while driving through the race routes.

There is no race-day sign-up.
