Woman charged with making bomb threats at Hawaii's Keahole International Airport

By Rod Ohira

A California woman was charged yesterday with making a bomb threat at Keahole International Airport in Kona, forcing the evacuation of Aloha Airlines Flight 91 to O'ahu.

No bomb was found.

Vicky Kyung Mi Kim, 46, was detained at the airport for police by federal Transportation Security Administration agents at 12:20 p.m.

Kim was charged with first-degree terroristic threatening. Her bail was set at $1,000.

Kona police said Kim made repeated threats about a bomb being aboard the plane. The threats forced officials to evacuate the aircraft and unload all luggage for scanning.
