A woman and five children were injured today in a single car crash in Kalaeloa.

The crash at Tripoli Street and Coral Sea Road was reported at 4:13 p.m.

Firefighters extricated the woman driver from the car, which police said swerved off the roadway and struck a tree.

The woman was taken to The Queen's Medical Center with critical injuries, said Emergency Medical Services spokesman Bryan Cheplic.

Three boys and two girls, ages 8-13, also went by ambulance to Queen's in stable condition, said Cheplic.
