MA'ILI
Help offered on property search

Advertiser Staff

Staff from the state's Unclaimed Property Program will be at this weekend's Wai'anae Sunset on the Beach at Ma'ili Beach Park to help people interested in conducting searches for unclaimed money and other property that may be due to them.

Program staff will be at the Wai'anae Coast Comprehensive Health Center booth at the event, which runs from noon to 7 p.m. Saturday and Sunday. The searches are free.

The program, part of the state Department of Budget and Finance, holds about $120 million in abandoned and unclaimed property such as dormant savings and checking accounts, unclaimed inheritances and refunds.
