Honolulu's Janel Parrish to cut CD with Geffen Records

Parrish, 18, who played Young Cosette in the musical "Les Miserables" on Broadway and in Honolulu performs "Rainy Day," a song she wrote for the finale of the Lionsgate film, which premieres Aug. 3. The movie was inspired by the tween-popular Bratz fashion dolls.
Geffen, which is releasing the movie soundtrack July 31, will then record Parrish for her eventual CD debut.
Parrish is a former Honolulan who relocated to Burbank at age 14 to pursue a career in films and music.
