Native Hawaiiian business group to meet July 19

Advertiser Staff

The Native Hawaiian Chamber of Commerce will discuss the benefits of establishing a Native Hawaiian Organization at its monthly luncheon meeting July 19.

The program begins at 11:30 a.m. with lunch at 1451 Queen Emma St. and will be followed by a discussion led by Chris Dawson, president of the Dawson Group, and H.K. Bruss Keppeler, an attorney and expert on Native Hawaiian Organizations.

Creating an organization allows Native Hawaiian-owned businesses to compete for federal contracts with unlimited value, according to the chamber. The program is administered by the U.S. Small Business Administration.

The fee for the luncheon is $15 for chamber members and $20 for non-members. For information, call Pauline Worsham at 951-5373 or e-mail at pauline@pmwconsult.com.
