Small-business regulations topic for Honolulu meeting

Advertiser Staff

Small-business owners will have the opportunity to voice their concerns about federal regulatory compliance and enforcement at a special forum sponsored by the U.S. Small Business Administration on July 19.

The forum is set for 10 a.m.-noon in the third-floor conference room at 1132 Bishop St.

SBA national ombudsman Nicholas Owens will conduct the forum. Also scheduled to attend are representatives from other federal agencies and members of the Regional Regulatory Fairness Board.

The testimony will be used to create a more cooperative regulatory environment among federal agencies and small businesses, according to the SBA.

Small-business owners, representatives of trade associations, and community leaders are invited to participate in the forum. Those wishing to testify may register in advance, but written testimony also will be accepted.
