First-degree meth trafficking charges are pending against two women arrested in 'Ahuimanu yesterday. Police said they accepted delivery of a drug shipment to a Windward O'ahu residence.

Earlier, police had intercepted the package sent from out of state and set up the controlled delivery to an 'Ahuimanu home on Hui Alala Street, according to Capt. Kerry Inouye of the Narcotics/Vice Division.

The shipment appeared to contain about one pound of crystal methamphetamine, according to Inouye. Charges are pending confirmation that the substance in the package is the illegal drug.

The women arrested, ages 60 and 44, are from 'Ewa and 'Ahuimanu, respectively. Neither woman has a prior felony conviction, according to Hawai'i Criminal Justice Data Center records.
