Langley Ukulele Ensemble at Sheraton Waikiki tonight

The Langley Ukulele Ensemble from British Columbia, Canada, is returning to its home away from home in Waikiki. The group is celebrating its 14th anniversary at the Sheraton Waikiki, playing free concerts in the lobby from July 13 to19. In addition, musicians from the ensemble will offer free 'ukulele lessons.

All concerts and 'ukulele lessons are free and open to the general public, in the Sheraton Waikiki hotel lobby.

Concerts take place 8:30–9:30 p.m. tonight and July 16-19.

Complimentary 'ukulele lessons are 10–11 a.m. July 16-19.

The brainchild of director Peter Luongo, the Langley Ukulele Ensemble celebrates its 26th year as musical ambassadors for Canada, British Columbia, Langley, as well as for youth. The 23 members in the ensemble range from 12 to 22 years and perform as many as 80 concerts per year throughout Canada and the U.S. The group has produced and released 10 CDs, including two with all Hawaiian music.
