Police seeking Big Island girl, 16, missing since April

Big Island police are looking for a 16-year-old girl reported as missing from her Kea'au home since April 27.

She has been identified as Krista Ruppel. She is described as 5 feet 4, about 115 pounds, with blond hair and blue eyes.

Police ask anyone with information about her whereabouts to call Officer BJ Duarte of the Juvenile Aid Section at 961-2373 or the Police Department's non-emergency number at 935-3311.

Tipsters who prefer to remain anonymous may call CrimeStoppers at 961-8300 in Hilo or 329-8181 in Kona. All CrimeStoppers information is kept confidential.
