Hawaii tax revenue up 3.4%, lower than expected

State general fund tax revenues were up 3.4 percent in the fiscal year that ended June 30, compared with the previous year. The increase was less than anticipated.

The House Speaker and Finance chairman have scheduled a news conference to talk about the impact on the state budget this afternoon.
