NFL: Lions sign three, including 'Mr. Irrelevant'

Associated Press

ALLEN PARK, Mich. — The Detroit Lions today signed quarterback J.T. O'Sullivan, linebacker Johnny Baldwin and cornerback Ramzee Robinson, the last player selected in the NFL draft.

The team also released quarterback Phil Horvath.

The 6-foot-2, 227-pound O'Sullivan, released last week by the Chicago Bears, was with the Frankfurt Galaxy of NFL Europa, where he completed 160 of 235 passes for 1,997 yards and 15 touchdowns.

Robinson, a 5-foot-10, 186-pound cornerback from Alabama, was the 23rd player to be recognized as Mr. Irrelevant, a moniker given to the final player selected in the NFL draft.

The 6-foot-2, 232-pound Baldwin was chosen by Detroit in the fifth round (158th overall) in the 2007 draft. He was a standout linebacker for Alabama A&M, where he finished with 361 tackles.
