Ex-UH player Lojeski scores 12 in NBA summer league

Former University of Hawaii basketball player Matt Lojeski tied for the team lead with 12 points to help the Utah Jazz to a 64-63 victory over the Atlanta Hawks on the opening night of the Rocky Mountain Revue summer league today at Salt Lake City.

Lojeski, a 6-foot-6 guard, came off the bench and connected on 5 of 8 shots from the field, including 2 of 2 from 3-point range. He also grabbed three rebounds and had an assist.

Lojeski is attempting to make the Utah roster as a free agent.

Another former UH player, Carl English, scored six points for the Houston Rockets in a 74-69 victory over the Washington Wizards in a NBA Summer League game at Las Vegas.

English went 2 of 3 from 3-point range off the bench. He is attempting to make the Houston roster as a free agent.
