TONIGHT'S MUST-SEE

"Doctor Who," 6 p.m., Sci Fi Channel. Last week, this show launched a fun combination. There's The Doctor, of course, a time lord who takes all of this for granted. David Tennant offers a sense of mad glee. And there's his latest colleague, Martha, a young physician, new to this and still startled to be jumping to different times and galaxies. Tonight, they're in Elizabethean times; Shakespeare has apparently been replaced by witch-like beasts.

OF NOTE

"The Devil Wears Prada" (2006), 5 p.m., HBO. If you haven't seen it yet, this is the ideal time to catch a surprisingly good film. David Frankel directed beautifully, getting a look of rich Manhattan beauty. He also got good work from young star Anne Hathaway, and subtle perfection from Meryl Streep. The result mixes drama and comedy at a top-level fashion magazine.

"George Lopez," 7 and 7:30 p.m., ABC. The first rerun has George finding that his mom can only be saved from jail if he lies in court. In the second, he makes a major mistake, after a funeral in his wife's family.

"Bring It On: All or Nothing" (2006), 8 p.m., ABC Family. This sequel has a cheerleader having to prove herself when she reaches a new high school. Ironically, she's played by Hayden Panettiere, who went on to play another cheerleader — this time in scary, world-shattering situations — in "Heroes."

"Greek," 8 p.m., ABC. If you missed this show's debut Monday on ABC Family, here's a quick second chance. Rusty is a geeky type, reaching a school where his sister is a popular sorority girl.

"Las Vegas," 8 p.m., NBC. To save Delinda's life in this rerun her father and boyfriend have 12 hours to steal millions from a casino and get it to the kidnappers.

"Monk" season opener, 9 p.m., USA Network. The last thing Adrian Monk wants to do is work with his obsessive fan played by Sarah Silverman. When she "buys" him in a charity auction he has no choice.

"Law & Order: Criminal Intent," 9 p.m., NBC. Shortly after a rap star is charged, the judge's son is killed. In this rerun, police rush to prove a link.

"Numb3rs," 9 p.m., CBS. In a rerun, the badge and then the body of a policeman, missing since 1990, are found. An investigation targets gang members.

"Psych" season opener, 10 p.m., USA Network. Tim Curry plays a mean-spirited talent-show host, sort of in the Simon Cowell style. Now he apparently needs protection.
