HAWAI'I KAI
School gets a makeover

Advertiser Staff

When Koko Head Elementary School students report to school Aug. 1, all students, kindergarten through fifth grade, will be treated to new classrooms as the renovation of the 53-year-old school winds down.

But the school's main office is still under construction, said Principal Cecilia Lum. The office is temporarily located in Building B, the first building on the left side of the walkway.

The school's $2 million renovation included new light fixtures, windows, floor tiles, new sinks in every classroom, painting and a new roof on two of the buildings. The renovation also includes work to the cafeteria and the school's library.
