KANE'OHE
Pop Warner school drive on

Advertiser Staff

The Kahalu'u Pop Warner Association will collect new backpacks, pens, pencils, rulers and other school supplies to donate to needy students.

Kahalu'u resident Jordan Morey, 46, said students from Windward public and private high schools will wave signs to encourage the public to give. The event is part of a community service project through the Castle Foundation, which will help to fund the Kahalu'u He'eia Broncos football team.

The goal is to collect 250 backpacks stuffed with supplies.

Donations will be taken tomorrow and Sunday from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the old Star Market location in Kane'ohe Bay Shopping Center.
