Police checking on report of shots fired in Haleiwa

Emergency responders have been sent to the the Joseph P. Leong Highway in Hale'iwa in response to a report that a confrontation between a large group of men took place there and that as many as five gunshots may have been fired.Police have not been able to confirm yet that shots were fired or that anyone was injured.
The incident was reported about 1:55 a.m.
