One person injured during Haleiwa brawl, nobody shot

Police have concluded that one person was injured during a brawl in Hale'iwa along the Joseph P. Leong Highway but that contrary to initial reports, no one was shot.Police, firefighters and paramedics were called to the area about 1:50 a.m. after receiving a report that as many as five gunshots were fired during the fight and that one or more people may have been shot.
After investigating the situation, it appears that one person was injured while being assaulted, but no one was shot, police said.
No information was available on the extent of the assault victims injuries.
