Police temporarily close H-1 westbound Pali off-ramp

Police have temporarily closed the off-ramp that leads from the west-bound lanes of the H-1 Freeway to the Nu'uanu Pali Highway.A car, believed to be a white Volkswagen Jetta, crashed into a light pole about 3:10 a.m., knocking it over into the off-ramp traffic lanes.
The crash also resulted in a loss of electricity in the immediate area.
The pole, estimated to be about 40-feet, is creating a traffic hazard, police said.
Police have summoned a road crew to the scene to remove the pole.
