No arrests in two Oahu bank robberies in eight days

A man who robbed Bank of Hawaii's Kalihi branch Friday is still at large, according to police.

The robbery at 1950 North King St. was reported at 2:20 p.m.

The robber passed a demand note to a teller and fled with an undisclosed amount of cash.

The robbery was the second on O'ahu in eight days.

The Waimalu branch of Central Pacific Bank was robbed July 5 by a man who passed a demand note. No arrests have been made in that case.

It is unknown if there is any connection between the two robberies.
