Man, 34, accused of assaulting Honolulu officer

Charles K. Handley III, no permanent local address, allegedly attacked the officer while being escorted to the emergency room of The Queen's Medical Center at about 6 p.m.
Bail of the assault charge is $20,000. Handley has a scheduled initial appearance tomorrow at District Court.
Handley was arrested at 5:10 p.m. on Koa Avenue in Waikiki for fourth-degree criminal property damage and a $250 warrant.
