Kailua, Kona-based Cyanotech Corp. today announced it will not meet an extended deadline for filing its annual financial report with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

The maker of nutritional supplements said it is continuing to work with its public accountant KPMG to resolve possibly material non-cash technical accounting matters.

Cyanotech said it believes will able to file the report covering fiscal year ended March 31, 2007, by July 30.

Shares of Cyanotech closed down 2 cents, or 1 percent, at $1.34 on the Nasdaq Capital Market today.
