Radioactive water leaks from nuclear plant in Japan

KASHIWAZAKI, Japan — The strong earthquake that struck northwestern Japan today caused a fire and water leak at one of the world's most powerful nuclear power plants.National broadcaster NHK reported that water containing radioactive material leaked from the plant into the Sea of Japan, but that the radioactivity level was low and posed no danger to the environment.
