Minor quake strikes near Kalapana on Big Island

A minor earthquake occured just before 2 a.m. today on the Big Island.The quake registered a 3.2 magnitude, according to the U.S. Geological Survey, Hawaiian Volcano Observatory.
The quake occurred five miles west of Kalapana. Its hypocentral depth is five miles.
No tsunami bulletins have been issued or are expected.
