Hokulea escort boat returns today

The motor-sailboat Kama Hele that escorted the voyaging canoe Hokule'a on its voyage from Hawai'i to Micronesia and Japan is scheduled to arrive back home at the Marine Education Training Center on Sand Island at about 1 p.m.Kama Hele traveled about 4,000 miles over the last 23 days. It is scheduled to be off of Diamond Head around noon, escorted by several boats.
