Advertiser Staff

Police are seeking the public's help in their investigations into two O'ahu bank robberies.

A man who robbed Bank of Hawaii's Kalihi branch Friday is still at large, police said. The robbery at 1950 North King St. was reported at 2:20 p.m. The robber passed a note to a teller demanding money and fled with an undisclosed amount. The robbery was the second on O'ahu in eight days.

The Waimalu branch of Central Pacific Bank was robbed July 5 by a man who also presented a note demanding money. No arrests have been made in that case.

It is unknown if there is any connection between the two robberies, police said. Anyone with information is asked to call Honolulu CrimeStoppers at 955-8300 or *CRIME on a cellular phone.
