Hawaii Winter Baseball plans games for Maui, Hilo

Hawaii Winter Baseball plans to take its show on the road this season, which begins with a doubleheader on Sept. 29, the league announced yesterday.

The four-team league, which features up-and-coming pro players, is scheduled to play games five games at Iron Maehara Stadium in Wailuku, Maui and six in Hilo at Wong Stadium. The bulk of the schedule will be played at Hans L'Orange Park and Les Murakami Stadium on O'ahu. Last year, all games were played on O'ahu.

The opening-day doubleheader pits the North Shore Honu vs. the West Oahu CaneFires and the Honolulu Sharks vs. the Waikiki BeachBoys at Hans L'Orange.

The championship game is scheduled for Nov. 19 at Les Murakami Stadium.
