Cycling: Blood tests negative on three Tour teams

BRIANCON, France — All 25 riders who had blood tests before the start of today's ninth stage of the Tour de France showed negative results.Tour leader Michael Rasmussen was tested along with his Rabobank teammates, as were riders from the Lampre and Credit Agricole teams, the International Cycling Union said.
The UCI carried out the tests early Tuesday morning. Marc Vandevyvere, a UCI doctor, signed a document saying none of the tests came back positive. The tests check for abnormal blood levels that could indicate doping.
Juan Mauricio Soler of Colombia won Tuesday's stage, which took riders on a 99.1-mile mountain trek from Val d'Isere to Briancon.
