Aug. 14 public hearing set on Hau'ula bridge plan

A public hearing has been scheduled for Aug. 14 in Hau'ula on a Department of Transportation plan to replace the bridge at Kaipapa'u Stream on Kamehameha Highway.

The goal of the project is to construct wider travel lanes and shoulders, pedestrian walkways and bicycling facilities. The new construction will feature reinforced guardrails and drainage features.

The hearing is scheduled for 10:30 a.m. at Hau'ula Community Park, 54-050 Kamehameha Highway.
